I skiied whistler/blackcomb in February of 2000 and it was great. It wasn't too crowded and it was nice and powdery! My family and I loved it.
There is an area in the mountain called the bowl. It is a wide open area on I think it is the back side of the mountain. There are few trees and it is ungroomed. Pure Powder!!! Great for powder lovers like me! I definately recommend on going to whistler/blackcomb not just for intermediate and advanced skiiers but for beginners too. They have some nice easy, fun trails.
The first few days we skied blackcomb and then went on to whistler. They are right next to eachother, walking distance. I personally preferred blackcomb because it was less crowded at the time but they both were great. There is also some great terraain parkers for the skiiers and boarders who like to jump like me.
So, if you love to snowboard or ski, Whistler, Blackcomb is the place to be!
