Pros:Huge Mountain, Great parks, Long Runs, Many skill levels
Cons:Occasional wet snow
The Bottom Line: In the summer, or winter, Whistler/Blackcomb is the best that BC has to offer.
I love living just a ferry ride from Whistler. A world class mountain just a few hours away. The board parks are great, always in great condition. The runs are long, and challenging, just the way i like them. The mountain is the best i have ever been to, and i've been all over canada and the united states. Not only is the mountian great, the resort makes this destination even better. Restaurants, Department Stores, and shops all over the town make this a great place to go, even if you don't ski/snowboard. The hotels in the area are definatly high quality. Although sometimes expensive, it is worth it for the comfort and value. There are also a few less expensive hotels if you are looking just to spend a weekend on the hill. In summer, mountain biking, and hiking takes over the hill. The town is still open for business all year around, and in the summer, the weather gets to 25-30 degrees C (80-90 degrees F i believe) Although expensive, i wouldn't go anywhere else.
