Whether you are up in Whistler for a day or many nights, there are plenty to do up there. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the many ski tracks available for all skill levels. Although it should be noted that as this place becomes more and more popular for beginning snowboarders, it could get a bit annoying and even dangerous to skill in green / blue tracks as the snowboarders like to sit around in the middle and intersection of a ski track.
Mountain views aside, one great thing about Whistler is that it has a good balance of both nature and development. There are enough shops, both big and small, and great eateriers as well as bars, that would keep you busy but yet relax at night after a tiring day of rigorous exercise.
If you are with a bunch of friends, it's worth sharing a chalet or apartment, rather than staying at a hotel. This would allow you to enjoy the fun of cooking and dinning at home out of fresh local ingredients found in the village supermarket!
Summer time is also a great time to visit Whistler. You can mountain bike, canoe and golf on the otherwise boring cross-country ski track that were made for winter.
The price may be a bit expensive compare to other mountains in Vancouver. But certainly worth you money and time to travel all the way out to Whistler if you plan to be there for at least two days and a night to enjoy the great mountain settings!
