Pros: Still quite small and undeveloped
Cons: 2 hour transfer from Geneva Airport
The Bottom Line: My recommendation is that I've already booked to go back next year...

| britbird's Full Review: La Tania |
I went skiing in the Courchevel (Trois Vallées) region in January 2001 and we stayed in a delightful chalet in La Tania.
The smallest and most recent addition to the resorts surrounding the Courchevel pistes, La Tania still retains a feeling of uniqueness. It has yet to be totally overrun by tourists (though I daresay the residents would argue with that) and still has a degree of olde worlde charm.
The main gondola lift from the village takes skiers up to meet the sweeping pistes, which lead down to Courchevel 1850 and 1650, where bars, cafe and restaurants await. Being so small, the gondola is within easy walking distance of virtually all the hotels and chalets in La Tania
La Tania itself is equipped with 2 lively bars, which feature live music and dancing, a few good restaurants (serving the ubiquitous fondue), convenience store for those apres ski hunger pangs, and a spa center offering massage and sauna. We even found a pizzeria, which delivered to the chalet door!
The slopes in the area offer good skiing from December through to April and the weather when I visited was perfect.
Slopes cater for all from beginners to those demanding the challenges only a black run can offer.
