Pros: Lots of varied runs for all levels. Great snow.

We visited Breckenridge for the first time from January 22 - 29, 2000. We had a blast! The snow arrived the first day we did and dumped some everyday for a total of almost 50 inches that week. Talk about great powder. Our gang consisted of ages 5 - 71, expert skier to novice, and everyone had a great time. There are runs for everyone and we each found our favorites. Lift lines moved quickly and the kid's ski schools were great, except at registration which is always a crazy time. Some of the runs were a little crowded but usually only when everyone was trying to get down for lunch or at the end of the day. We stayed at a ski-in, ski-out condo and it was really easy and close to get to the lift.
A couple of the lift operators could have been a little more attentive, like noticing a guy ahead of us who lost a ski when he got on. When he and his pal went to get off they both fell. Instead of stopping the lift, the operator slowed it down and when we went to get off there wasn't anywhere to go. We almost plowed into them, laying there in a heap, but luckily we squeezed through on each side of the pile-up and the people behind us did the same.
We visited the Breckenridge Brewery for dinner one night and that was fun. It was packed but we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table and in the mean time we enjoyed a beer. We're used to skiing Vermont - lots of ice - so the powder at Breckenridge was fantastic. We'll definitely go back!!
