I have ridden in the Ober Gatlinburg several times over the past few years and have enjoyed it every time. The cost is a tad bit high just for a ride but eventually you will see that it is well worth the money.


In the fall it is absolutely gorgeous. With the fall colors of the Smokey Mountain trees and the wonderful weather it could almost be heaven as your riding to the top. With some of the leaves bare from the trees, you can also see some of the wonderful mountain homes and cabins that are either rented or owned. Of course you could dream away about owning of them LOL!

Once you get to the top of the mountain there are shops to explore, food to eat and ice skating (either to watch or participate if you please). Also on the backside are slides and bungee jumping (these are for the real daredevils).

If you should ever go to Gatlinburg, ride the Ober to the top. You won't be disappointed.
