Gatlinburg has been a fall trip for my family going back 45 plus years. Our family gets together every year in October for our annual family reunion. Many people ask why we go to Gatlinburg? I always tell them; We love it. Even though through the years it has become somewhat cheesy with the Dinosaur in the roof roaring to passerbys, commercialized with every shop selling the exacat same thing. we just cant help make this our reunion location. We have stayed in hotels on the strip, outside of town a little bit and our share of cabins.Everytime we stay in a different location makes each trip different and special in its on way.
Gatlinburg has a lot to offer. There is Ober Gatlinburg, You can drive up the mountain or take the tram up. Here they offer Ice SKating, Skiing when the weather permits, Alpine Slide, Bungee jumping, BLack Bears. In town there are a 100 places to eat. Our favorite is The Burning Bush. There are Haunted houses to go through,Motion movie theaters and ride simulators. The shopping is incredible. There is a shop for everything in Gatlinburg.Wether you are looking for sweatshirts, T-shirts, Nice crystal, or your typical tourist fare. You will Find It on the main Drag.
During The fall is a beautiful time to visit, The colors of the leaves are vibrant and breathtaking. Often the weather is warm enough for shorts and sweatshirts.The winter is also a nice time to visit. The town is decorated with many lights to celebrate the christmas and winter season.
Whenever you decide to visit you will have a great vacation aand enjoy yourself. Book a vacation now and give Gatlinburg a try.
