The Ober Gatlinburg ski resort is located in the beautiful Smokey Mountains and offers a year round ski opportunity. It is a breath taking ride to the top on their lifts and once you're on top there are several things to do as well as ski. There are several restaurants, gift shops, and ski equipment rental shops.
The slopes are covered with a fine powder, when not covered in actual snow. They have several different levels of difficulty, from the beginner to the pro and the cost is, in fact, cheaper than other resorts of the same caliber. It would be worth a trip to just see the majestic beauty of the Smokey Mountains but the Ober Gatlinburg ski resort is an added bonus of the trip. Try to go when you can, you'll be glad you did.
