Pros:Challenging Slopes, Lots of activities, Family orienated.
Cons:In the middle of no mans land.
The Bottom Line: Would go back with either friends or family.
Although I found Smugg to be a family ski resort, that didn't stop our group of 12 aharing a 3 story townhouse to have a really great time. By spilitting expenses, the trip was most affordable. Of course with a group this size, someone has to sleep on a couch.
Here is quick list of activities:
1. Skiing (of course).
2. Iceskating.
3. Swimming
4. Horseback riding.
5. Exercise/Workout area.
6. Suana.
7. Hotubbing.
8. Nightclub (Bar, dining, Kareoke, dancing, etc)
9. Fireplace lounge.
10. Local Shopping.
Of course as with any vacation or getaway, it's what you make of it. I had a blast with memories that will last a lifetime. My first visit resulted in meeting tha woman who later became my wife. So of course this may make my opinion biased :-).
The highights are having a day of great swimming, a evening of outdoor hottubbing, then dinner and the nightckub with a final stop in the fireplace lounge.
Card games back in the townhouse were also great when the soreness of the slopes caught up to us.
Horseback ring through snowy trails really puts in touch with the beauty of the region.
I have been back severa times since my first visit going back to 1992 and pla on returning again.
