Pros: Good conditions this year.
Cons: Too many very difficult trails.
The Bottom Line: I had a great time, if you go with the right people you will too, Terrain is a little tougher than intermediate on average.

I went to Stowe two weekends ago, and I found the skiing pretty good, there has been a lot of snow this season, so that added to the quality of the snow there. The problems with this resort, and with others in the northeast is the weather which tends to be really cold. The first day I was there it was snowing almost the entire day, and luckily there is an 8 person Gondola that goes to the top, but the problem with it is the lines get pretty long, and you end up waiting a lot.
There are a lot of advanced trails at Stowe so if you are a beginner or intermediate it may not be the place to start skiing. I talked to some people there that traveled long distances to get their just for the challenging runs that you can't find in other resorts in the area. I live in New York, and it took me about 5 and a half hours to drive there.
One other great thing about stowe is there is a Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream Factory located very near by, and they have tours you can take every half hour, I think they are open monday-Saturday, but check before you go.
