Although Beauty and the Beast had beautiful
costumes and scenery, it was a bit too long, almost
three hours.
My favorite parts were the humorous parts
with the character Lumiere, who acted like Maurice
Chevalier, and the part where the Beast was shy
about dancing with Beauty and the onlookers shouted
at him to dance.
Beauty's singing voice was wonderful. The
actors who played Gaston and the Beast were
terrific.
I felt that more could have been done with
choreography to make what was happening on stage
a bit more exciting, though. There were times
where the show was not completely holding my
attention.
But I must say that the show went into EVERY
detail of the story. There was nothing left out.
And watching the standing ovation at the end, I
admired how much the costumes were everything you
would imagine a fairy tale Beauty and the Beast
would look like.
Furthermore, there were some lovely souvenir
T-shirts on sale...one that sparkled in yellow,
with the word BELLE on it, one with the logo of
Beauty and the Beast on it in black and white,
and one of Beauty in pink.
In truth, I enjoyed the show, but it was not
the best show I've ever seen.
