This play is truly "Seinfeld set to music," as the advertising suggests! I saw it, actually, before it went to Broadway, at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven. What a fun theatre experience!
This play went immediately to New York, and has been running there to rave reviews ever since. It's not hard to see why - I practically rolled out of my chair laughing when I saw it.
One of the best things about the play is the intimacy. It's meant for a small theatre, and you really feel like you're getting a personal performance of the show. The characters are great actors - they relate to each other, switch from seriousness to comedy at the drop of a hat, and generally crack the audience up! The set is just as constantly quickly changing - one scene between two characters will be gone, just about forgotten, in about 10 seconds.
This play is SO much fun, I absolutely recommend it to anyone. If you want comedy, this is great - it's witty and fun!
