This a terrific piece. David Hirson (playwright) is brilliant. I was luck enough to attend opening night of the new B'way show- WRONG MOUNTAIN and I would highly recommend it to EVERYONE. A very smart, thought-provoking play challenging my views on "success" and how I come to define it in my life. Run do not walk to see this play!
Ron Rifkin ("Cabaret" - "ER") was superb. He has to travel on quite a roller-coaster ride through this play. All the character's ideals and moral values are challenged...all the while making YOU feel challenged.
Daniel Davis ("The Nanny" - "Star Trek: Next Generation") is pure talent. He makes the show!!! He is a true professional and embodies every actor you have ever known.
This show has moments of "Waiting for Guffman" live on stage....it is funny and inspiring.
Be sure to get a great seat. There is A LOT of dialogue which could be missed under the laughter and general hub-bub of those around you. This is a very 'wordy' play, but you do not want to miss a word of it.
Again, know that this is exactly what B'way was missing...most of this stuff is usually produced off-B'way....but I am glad the producers are 'taking the risk' and putting it on Broadway. As the USA Today review said..."this play would not be so pointedly effective any place else."
