The Bottom Line: If you try this Car rental company check the car before you leave,to avoid some situations .If you have a different company option and feel confident about,go ahead.

This is a very short advice about Avis:
Last year while on vacation at Boston we decided to visit a relative near Portland,Maine. At the airport we rented a 4x4 Chevrolet SUV(Avis)thinking that this vehicle could be a smart decision due to weather conditions.And just 20 miles from our destination we had a flat tire . In a normal situation this is not a big problem,you only change the spare tire and thatīs it,but at 9 PM with a storm warning and finding out that there was not any jack and tools in the vehicle,that is really a problem.I tried to use my cell phone but ...surprise !!, the signal dropped, so the only option was to look for help. After a 20 minute walk in the snow, finally I found a phone and the guys at the company came about two hours later and changed the entire vehicle (this one came with a jack and tools). So if you rent a car during bad weather conditions,(and you travel to rural locations) you must ask the person at the counter that someone checks spare tire,jack,tools,and emergency signals...This could save your life or at least you wonīt get a common cold!
