Enterprise, no power steering? (Reply to this comment)
by brefni
I got the cheapest car last month for my wife to travel to Pawleys Island for the weekend flying into Myrtle Beach. Enterprise was the cheapest.
When she picked up the car it had no power steering, windows etc.am radio. THe biggie was the power steering. They apologized and stated she could come back tommorow and they would put her in a larger vehicle with power.? I called up and left a message for the manager asking in the year 2004 you are renting cars that are used, without power steering? Its 2004! He called back and I stated she doesnt want to drive back 25 miles to the airport from where she was staying can u hook us up in August when we are going down for 2 weeks. He agreed and is giving us a full size for the price of the intermediate i held on Travelocity. I was happy with how they handled it, but still it was the first car i ever rented in 20 years without power lol. Just something to ask in the future. Always a reason something is the cheapest.

The only problem I have ever had with them is that they are not open very late at airports like other rental places like budget. So, if you want to use enterprise at the airport after hours you will be out of luck.

Since they live in a city the rent from Enterprise about once a month.
(to bad Enterprise doesn't have an frequent driver programs).
Anyways in Chicago if they can't pick you up they pay for the cab ride. The have a very limited staff on the weekends so its cheaper to pay $5 for a cab than have more people working I guess.

My grandson just started to work for Enterprise in Des Moines, Iowa. I have had my experience with car rentals this summer, all turned out fine. Will have to check on Enterprise in the future.

Hey Peter, better watch out. You're liable to get a bill in the mail for some "non cancellation fee" or something like that. :)
Enjoyed the review.
Take care,
