Pros: Their rates are now lower than anybody else's where I live...
Cons: They still have somewhat inconvenient hours, closed on Saturdays!
The Bottom Line: They seem to have improved their operations, and training. They have re-earned my business.

I used to rent from them in the past. They had and still have ONE redeeming feature - they will pick you up. Plus, they have the $ 9.99 per day special on micro cars like the Metro. However...
1. Back in August of 1998 I was in a fender bender and had to go thru Enterprise because of my insurance company. The first car they gave me leaked coolant. It was replaced, but not without an argument.
The replacement car had an airbag warning light that would come on twice an hour. I called to have it replaced, and had yet another argument. I told them that I was not about to have an airbag explode in my face, and that they had to come to my office and get me a second replacement car.
They finally did. The replacement car was a Neon. It had four (4)!!!! nails in the right front tire. When I called Enterprise they essentially called me a liar and refused to replace the car. Luckily, my trusty Taurus was out of the body shop and was able to return their piece of junk.
2. Twice a few years ago they tried to overcharge me. Another confrontation followed, during which I essentially said I was not leaving their office until the charges were corrected. They did.
There are much better choices out there with better cars.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Having successfully run Thrifty out of town, Enterprise now has 3 locations close to me. I have started using them again, and they seem to have improved considerably. They acknowledge their errors, and in my case have corrected them in a timely manner. Even when I book economy cars, I get something more powerful at no extra cost. The agents seem to be trained better these days, and do not push their CDW policies as aggressively as in the past.
