Poor Experience with Enterprise

Pros: Nice cars
Cons: Very poor customer service, cars not ready when requested
The Bottom Line: Enterprise in the Dallas/Fort Worth area isn't worth the time or money involved. Use someone else!!

My father-in-law decided to rent two Cadillacs for our wedding so that he and my husband's best man could shuffle family members around all weekend. He decided to use Enterprise based on my positive experiences with them in Oklahoma. He made the reservation 10 days in advance and stressed to them the need for the cars to be ready at the time promised so that we could get to our wedding rehearsal on time.
They completely dropped the ball on this one. We showed up at their office about 15 minutes early, but we thought we were at the wrong place since there were *no* cars on their lot. We went in and they told us that they didn't have the cars. My husband's parents showed up right behind us. We had to leave to get to the rehearsal, so his parents handled it from there.
The person that had taken the reservation was the one that they dealt with at this office. Apparently, she was a complete moron because the manager later told them that she had screwed up 35 reservations that day. To make a long story short, they had to go all the way to Dallas from Fort Worth to pick up the cars. They were told that the offices depend on rental returns to fill their reservations. All the times that I've dealt with Enterprise before, they've had cars there for the reservations no matter if cars have been returned or not.
They finally got the cars about an hour and a half late. One of them hadn't even been washed or vacuumed. Because of this, we almost missed our reservation for the rehearsal dinner. We didn't even get an apology from the Enterprise people. This is completely unacceptable. If I ever rent a car in Oklahoma again, I'll use Enterprise, but never in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I'll walk before I rent from them again because I'd probably get to my destination quicker!!
