Steer clear of Enterprise Rent a Car at Newark airport. It didn't matter
that I had a reservation when I got to the Enterprise bus. "There are NO cars" is what I was told. They sent me to Budget and said they'd reimburse me for the difference in price. That was over 3 months ago. Faxes and phone calls have brought no results. And when my travel agent tried to collect her commission, they told her I never picked up the car.
I can sympathize with the special situation that was present. Many local residents had rented cars to replace their cars which were damaged during recent flooding. I can't dismiss the fact that they still haven't reimbursed me. I never even got so much as an apology for the inconvenience.
Update: Another month has gone by during which I've made more phone calls and sent another fax. It took over 4 months but the check finally arrived. I'd still rent elsewhere.
