Recently my wife and I along with another couple planned a trip to Xcalak Mexico which is a 5 hour drive south of Cancun. Three of us had dive equipment and normal amounts of luggage. I scheduled for a rental van to be picked up at the Cancun airport three months in advanced. Disorganization is an understatement at Hertz. There were 11 people waiting for the office to open in the morning. Finally someone strolled in at 8:20 am. It should be noted that in Cancun there are several rental agencies in a row, these other agencies had been servicing there customers since 7:30am. I get to the counter and give them my reservation, "oh, we sorry we don't have your vehicle", so they crammed us into a midsize car. It wasn't bad, but the key to reservations is.....well it's a reservation, your suppose to 'hold' the vehicle for the customer. Hertz has seen the last of me, this has happened too many times.
