Pros: Relatively cheap for a car rental.
Cons: Apparently insufficient stock of vehicles. Rude employees.
The Bottom Line: I strongly recommend going with another car rental; other rentals we have dealt with have been friendly/accommodating.
A few extra dollars are well worth avoiding any dealings with Hertz.

My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Florida. The only downer on our trip, however, was our unfortunate experience with Hertz.
We had ordered an economy car and were looking forward to enjoying a nice, small rental car as we had previously rented on other occasions from various car rentals (at times the car rentals had even upgraded us to a luxury convertable vehicle without us even asking).
When we got to the Hertz counter- tired after our (delayed) flight- we were "greeted" by a very unhelpful and discourteous Hertz employee. When we finally got to our designated car we were disappointed to discover that he had actually directed us to a very large mini-van; we were sure this had been a mistake, as we had ordered an economy car... the smallest type of car available.
My husband returned to the Hertz employee to try to rectify this error and was rudely informed that this minivan was the "only car available at this time." My husband, unsettled by this statement due to the fact that we had seen many other cars in the Hertz lot, inquired if there was ANY vehicle other than the minivan that we could possibly have instead; the employee abruptly repeated that the minivan was the only car available.
Needless to say we were very unhappy with our experience with Hertz and will not be using them again in the future.
