The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney World's MGM Studios is a great stunt action show. Shows are several times daily, and the theater holds a couple thousand people or so. Get there early to get a seat, especially later in the day or when the park is crowded. The show runs around 30 minutes in length. The theatre is nice and if I recall correctly, it is shaded, so you can sit down out of the hot sun for a little while.
The premise of the show is that the audience is being educated about stunts in the making of movies - behind the scenes. The examples demonstrated are in the Indiana Jones theme.
I love the Indiana Jones movies and I thought the show was very well done. However, I wonder if the theme is just a little dated. There are probably a lot of younger people who have had no exposure to the films. I think those without experience with the movies will still find it a good show, just not as up to date as it could be.
During the show you see various recreation stunts from the movies a race from the large rolling rock, fighting on the rolling airplane, a truck flipping over, fire, smoke, etc. It's all very well done. The scenes are exciting and there is a lot going on.
There's some humor in the show as well, and audience members are selected to be in the movie scenes that are being filmed. They pick a few volunteers and they are in the scenes and also receive some humorous acting and stunt instruction. Some of the parts with the volunteers were great - kept the audience in stitches. But there were some times when it kind of detracted from the show because it slowed down the pace of it and didn't seem to add much.
All in all, the show is enjoyable and fun. If you've seen it before, you won't find much that is new, but it is entertaining.
