As many times as my husband and I have been to Epcot at our young ages, we've never eaten at any of the restaurants there. So, on our last trip only a week ago, (for our wedding) we finally decided to do some tasting.
Tempura Kiko is the absolute best restaurant at Epcot (if not Disney altogether)! Even if you have picky eaters, they will love this!
It is located in a building that you have to walk up many steep steps to get to, so if you weren't hungry before climbing all those stairs, you will be after! And, after you leave with a mighty full belly, those steps seem even steeper and more plentiful.
Everyone there is very friendly. They are all well informed and willing to assist the chop-stick impaired.
Now to the best part...the food! My husband and I love exotic foods, but I must say, this wasn't your typical Japanese food (except for the Sushi of course).
I could spend pages on how incredible the sushi was!!! It was very fresh and made right in front of you. One hint...if you've never had wasabi, be weary. We saw a girl practically hit the floor after getting more than she should have. A little goes a loooong way!
For the main course, you select what type of meat or seafood you would like and they dip it in a light batter, then fry away. They also dip and fry up some veggies to go with it. It may look like a small portion at first, but it quickly fills you (even though you crave more). It comes with a delicious dipping sauce made from radish, fish sauce, and soy sauce that I wanted to smuggle in my purse!
This was so good, my husband and I ate there twice in the week we were at Disney!
What I would give to have that restaurant in my town!!!
