People Mover No More

Written: Jul 25 '03
Pros:Great time killer, rarely a line, give a nice overview of Tomorrowland
Cons:A bit boring...
The Bottom Line: Great for families, seniors anyone needing to kill time in Tomorrowland.

What happened the the good ol' People Mover? That used to be the name of the revamped "Tomorrowland Transit Authority." It's ok though - the ride itself hasn't changed much. Just a some new dialogue, and, I think, a slightly different path through Disney's Tomorrowland.

This ride is basically a slow-moving, elevated electric train that takes riders around Tomorrowland, offering an overview of the layout of that section of park and giving a glimpse into the inside of many of the rides.

If you're not ready or able to ride Space Mountain, don't miss the TTA, since it passes through the famous "E-Ticket" attraction, so you can at least see what all the fuss is about, even if you don't experience the coaster first hand. You'll be able to see the cars racing around the track inside, and hear the screams as visitors experience a less-leisurely ride than the TTA that you've chosen.

The TTA also passes through Buzz Lightyear, so kids who may be scared of going on this ride will get to see that it's really just a fun, life-size arcade game and get them enthused to ride.

The best thing about TTA is that there is rarely any line at all, and never a very long one. So it's great for those times when you've got a fast pass in hand for Space Mountain or Buzz, but have 20 minutes to kill before it's time to ride.
