Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

I really expected a stupid, predictable, and poorly written movie with that sort of boring repetitive hollywood "humor" but I was surprised at how hilarious this movie actually was. I watched it with my girlfriend and we laughed at so many things it was hard to hear the dialogue. Not many movies in recent memory have been able to do that. The 'simple' minded rednecks were a riot with their one liners and body language. "It's gonna be a long time before I take another vacation" these kind of comments were hysterical in context. I highly recommend this movie, especially if you're drinking a little. Ignore the movie poster. Ignore the campy premise. Ignore the genre categories. Ignore anything that might make you think, "Don't know if this movie is for me."If you like to laugh and have EVER watched a horror film, watch this movie. Perhaps especially if you don't like horror movies, this pokes terrific fun at them. I don't normally like gory movies, but somehow you barely notice even the most graphic depictions of blood and gore. Usually because you were too busy laughing. Brilliantly written and acted. It's not easy to set up a scene to make an audience split their sides with laughter when someone dies. Also does a wonderful job dealing with the issue of prejudice and stereotypes. I'd love to see future sequels with Tucker & Dale.
