I am truly surprised that no one has reviewed the Vinturi Wine Aerator Deluxe Gift Set.  As a neophyte wine connoisseur, I pride my wide array of economical wines from Trader Joe’s on the fact that the Vinturi Wine Aerator improves the taste, fragrance, and overall quality. 

 
Out of the Box
The Vinturi Wine Aerator Deluxe Gift Set comes with the Red Wine Aerator, the Tower Arm, Tower Base, no-splash grate, sediment filter, and a no-drip stand.   Setup is a snap, as all that is involved is simply placing the tower arm on the base, which stands upright just over a foot high, and placing the aerator atop the tower arm along the sediment filter that site inside of the aerator. Under the base goes the no drip stand and grate which prevents spillage from the aerator dripping onto the base and splashing everywhere.  If you wish to hide the unit you can disassemble it in a few minutes in the carrying case that accompanies the aerator in the gift box. Otherwise, the Vinturi Wine Aerator makes a great piece to include in your everyday décor, as the sleek design is both attractive and elegant 


Personal Experience
The best way to describe the flavor of the wine after the process of running it through the aerator, is equivalent to decanting it in a traditional glass decanter for over an hour.  Since the wine is instantly aerated to perfection, it makes hour-long decanting a thing of the past.  You simply open a bottle of wine, pour it into the Vinturi Aerator, and enjoy. The best way to test this theory is to try the wine right out of the bottle without using the aerator or giving it time to decant; then run the wine into the aerator and sample the difference. My wife and I executed this very test on our first test of the Vinturi Aerator, and the difference was more than noticeable. Vinturi easily beats out any alternative for aeration/decanting.


Recommendation
I can say without a doubt that it improves the taste 100% and whenever we open a bottle of red wine we use the Vinturi Wine Aerator Deluxe Gift Set.  Keep in mind that this is specifically designed for red wine, however I have used it for white wine and it seemed to do the trick.  They do make a specific aerator for white wine, and believe it or not they have started making aerators for fine liqueurs like whiskey and scotch.  We actually got this as a wedding shower gift, after we purchased it as a gift for a family member and hearing from them how amazing it was, so we registered for it.  I can confidently recommend the Vinturi Wine Aerator Deluxe Gift Set for yourself or as a one of a kind gift for the wine lover in your life – believe me, no one will be disappointed!
