Very nice review of your experience ... (Reply to this comment)

... and, if you're smart, you'll quit with this one ... just kidding, of course. The day will come when you'll say: "I can run that faster!." I ran Marine Corp times plus five others; it took me that long to say "enough is enough!"
All kidding aside, you should be proud of your accomplishment. It doesn't matter how long you took, it's the fact you hung in there for all those long, long, long training runs, went to the marathon and completed your goal. WOW! Pat yourself on the back, and your hubbies ... hey, next goal the JFK Fifty Miler! Now, there's a challenge, I can tell you!!

It will have to live on in memory 'cause there 'aint gonna be another one!! You can do it if you want to - it just takes a lot of training. It helps to have a training partner to keep you honest.
I don't even run 5K's anymore so kudos to you for staying in the races!

accomplishment!!! I run races, but SHORT ones! I used to do 10Ks but now I just do an occasional 5K. Maybe someday! My brother's running the Disney Marathon in January with his wife! I can't imagine running that far!
Best from Boston!
