My husband is a United States Marine. I am a mother of 2. A few months ago, we attended the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and had our pictures made. It hit me right then and there where I had gotten and I had gotten fat. I wanted to break down right in the middle of the ball room and cry. Instead, I made a decision to make a change. The day we got back, I called 24 hour fitness. It was already 8:30 pm when I went up there and signed up at a gym for my very first time. I went all out... I got the trainer... the meal program... EVERYTHING!
The first time I went in for my training sessions, Andrew, my trainer, let me know that I didn't have anything to feel self concious about and told me that he would help me reach my goals. We took my measurements and got to business.
24 Hour Fitness has been a great gym for me. Even when I am not with Andrew, other employees are always willing to help me use equipment that I am not familiar with. I can go to the gym any hour of any day and that is comforting to me. I have been one of those people who will go to the gym at 2 in the morning just because I know that I can go at 2 in the morning and people will let me in.
During normal hours (from around 7 in the morning to about 8 at night) there is a daycare room for my kids to go to. The people in there are great to my babies. They have a big jungle gym type apperation with those balls that kids can basically swim in. That is motivation in its self! If I haven't gone to the gym in a couple of days, my 2 year old will tell me, "Mommy, when are we gonna to the ball room?"
