| SkylerD's Full Review: 24 Hour Fitness |
I went to join 24 hr fitness and it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had anywhere. I figured I would be in and out 10-15min most. Sign a few papers and be done with it. No! They had to take me in to the back office room and play with numbers and pricing plans. I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone on what anything was going to cost. Then the guy tried to charge me a $170 start up fee! I said thats bull and he said sorry mandatory fee nothing I can do about it. After I threatened to walk out suddenly the fee was only $69 dollars. Wow, where did that go? He then continued to try to hustle me into buying supplements and personal training.
As I worked out here more and more, I was continually harassed by their trainers to buy personal training and to buy their supplements. I got so sick and tired of their stupidity I finally cut my membership off. The 24hr availability is nice, but thats it.. The used car salesmen mentality they have of trying to pressure and scam their customers is completely ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend their untrained, unknowledgeable staff on anyone!
