Pros: Spacious, new equipment, friendly people, low membership fees.
Cons: clicky until members realize you are serious about working out, building cannot expand to make it bigger.

I joined my Gold's Gym in Braintree, Massachusetts three and a half years ago and would not change it for the world. I loved it so much I started working there about a year later.
This gym is great! I have not gone to any gym that has been so spacious and had such good equipment. The two owners keep it in tip top shape. It is like being in a big warehouse.
The prices for memberships vary. For yearly memberships they are around 30.00 monthly or for a six month one are usually around 36.00 monthly. We also carry student memberships ranging anywhere from 99.00-150.00. Just ask a membership sales person for more info.
There is a juice bar which serves Met-Rx, Myoplex, Lean Body, Designer Protein, and Diet Fuel products as well as Nantucket Nectars juices. We have vending machines across from the juice bar in case you need a bar or just a pack of gum.
We also have tanning available!
There are two floors consisting of a cardio room which holds about 20 treadmills, 7-8 precor machines, 4 stepmills, 8 exercise bikes, a Reebok ski machine, and 10 or so stairmasters.
There is a very spacious aerobics/basketball court room that can hold about 50 people comfortably in a step class. The classes range from Yoga, step, karate, spinning, trail runs, road runs, to muscle conditioning classes.
We have a small spin room which has about 20 Schwinn bikes and has great scenery on the wall. The instructors will turn out the lights and crank on the music and begin to make you shed your fat faster than you can say Big Mac.
There is a private women's room upstairs that men are not allowed in, which I think is great for the women who feel intimidated by being in the big weight room with all the muscle heads.
There is a catwalk overlooking the whole gym. It also has mats for doing abs on, and a few exercise bikes, a few rowers, and some more ab equipment. So you can look down and see what is going on in the weight room or just people watch between sets.
We also have one raquetball court which is not is use too much except for the kids in the daycare riding their little tikes cars around in.
We have a great daycare which is right on the side of the raquetball court. The ladies who run it are moms themselves so they understand how children work. There are lots of things for the kids to do while staying in here.
The men's locker rooms were recently done over. They have a new whirlpool, carpets, lockers, anything you can possibly think of. The women's locker rooms are in great condition. The locker rooms consist of a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, showers, lots of locker space, spacious counters, good lighting, and clean bathrooms. What more could you ask for?
As for the weight room, it has two sides to it and takes up about half of the gym space. One side is all nautilus equipment and the other is all free weights. We have all the dumbells racked nicely in front of the wrap around mirrors to all the new benches lined up in front of the mirrors. It is great. The equipment ranges from names such as BodyMasters, Icarian, and Cybex. All new and in great condition.
I can only express from my experience working out here that I love it. You have to see this place for yourself. It is no glamour gym so beware if you come here with shiny new outfits and make-up on. This is a hard core workout gym and the people will not take you seriously until you give them reason to.
The people here are friendly but not until they realize you are serious about working out. So give this gym a try if you are in the area sometime. If you are serious about working out then I'm sure you will like it here. I am usually working on Friday nights from 6-11pm and will be more than happy to give you a little tour or just guide you in the right direction. Who knows, maybe you will want to join!
