The Atkins "way of eating" has been wonderful for me. My cholesterol is below 200 for the first time since I married 34 years ago. My blood pressure is fantastic. I've lost 50 lbs. I'm energetic, happy, and in the best health I've been in since I married. (And this is according to my doctor.) I'm eating more veggies than I ever have, I'm drinking lots of water and taking my vitamins every day. Atkins is more than a "protein" or a "meat and cheese" diet. Please do NOT "think" you know about it until you read the new updated version of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution book from cover to cover. I'm in the "pre-maintenance" phase and love my new lifestyle. I never plan to eat white flour or pure sugar products again. There are so many choices other than those. My advice to people is to PLEASE do your research before you "put down" or scare other people away from this diet. Read the book for yourself and make a lifestyle change for the better. You won't regret it.
