| sandleman's Full Review: Atkins Diet |
I am a 25 year old that has gained weight progressively over the last 5 years. i have tried numerous "good" or "healthy" diets and they always left me hungry all the time and weight loss was slow and painful. When i started atkins, i was 5'10 and weighed 266 pounds, needless to say, not healthy and far from a joy to see in the mirror. i read the book a couple times and finally decided to do it for new years as a resolution. I am not going to explain the whole diet here, but what i can say is that it works pretty well for me, as i write this, i have lost 26 pounds in a month and am not suffering in the process, and only walk seldomly as exercise. i love the look of family and friends when they see me eat supposedly "bad food" and lose weight in the process, while they struggle with the b.s. the medical profession feeds them. if you do decide to try the diet, be a meatlover first and foremost, and two, dont listen to naysayers, i get sermons almost every week from various people, but in the 30 or so years this diet has been around oficially, no one has died from it if followed correctly and exactly to the letter.... if your serious about losing weight almost effortlessly, then buy the book and get ready for an entirely new experience in eating....my 2 cents
