Pros: You can loose weight on this.
Cons: Not a whole lot to eat. And to much water!
The Bottom Line: I think this could work and does work for some people. One must be devoted to changing your life style on eating forever.

I decided to start a new diet. I picked up the Atkins diet book and started to read it. This is a way of life not a diet. You keep your carbohydrates and sugars low.
How can this work? I am still not sure. For the first 14 days you are on Induction. Which means you must keep your carbohydrates intake under 20 grams a day. You also have to drink a ton of water.
Some of the things you can eat are the following, any meat, any cheese, you can have some veggies that do not have a lot of sugar in them, you can have nuts, just about any nuts. You can also have jello with cool whip on it.
After 14 days you can up your carbohydrates a little. You have to work out and that is the hard part for me.
This diet does seem to be working. I have found lots of support groups on the internet and lots of sites for this.
With this diet at least you can eat normal foods, and eat until you are full rather than starve your self with lo amounts of food.
The drawbacks are being cranky sometimes, yet other times having lots of energy. You don't feel hungry on this diet hardly ever.
Do I recommend this to other people? Sure if you are willing to do it and stick to it it will work for you.
My first advise is to buy the book, from the start one is not sure what to eat and what they can and can not have with this. Good luck.
