The Atkins diet is very effective, to put be blunt. I am 15 years old and I wasn't fat and I wasn't skinny, but my dad started to try the Atkins diet and so I thought, what the hey? I tried and at first it was good...you can see the results in 1-2 weeks easily! I'd say I lost 5 pounds in 1 week. Yes, that's the good side, but on the other hand, I was running, and burning most of the calories I was putting into my body and at the same time, I was drinking all water; as you may can tell, I was rather weak! Carbs give you energy, and if you eat the right amount, it shouldn't be bad, but I'll tell you this, if you want to live healthy, then EAT healthy, you don't need to go on the Atkins Diet or any other! Drinking water has helped me lose a lot of weight, though that may take time, it's worth it, I've lost 11 pounds in a 2 months, and I'm happy with my weight and it's a good life skill to live by!
