| tarar's Full Review: MediFast Plus Weight Loss Program |
I've been on MediFast for almost 9 months and I've lost 110 pounds. After reading some of the reviews below, keep in mind most of negative reviews didn't follow the plan. The most common error I read was " salad for dinner" and 500 calories per day. This is incorrect. The "real food" meal is once a day and a large quantity of food. Its called the Lean and Green meal is 1 large portion of meat/protein and 3 servings of low carb veggies and this brings your daily calorie intake to 800-1000.
It's true that fruit isn't allowed during the 5&1 because of the natural sugars (carbs) but it's all reintroduced (slowly) after you've lost all the weight you want to lose.
As for the actual supplements (MediFast Meals), they take getting used to. I'm an extremely picky eater and taste (or fear of) was the only thing that I was really afraid of. The first day, everything tasted weird but each day after things improved. All of the textures can be changed with how much/little water you use and how you cook the soups/oatmeal. There are a slew of things I DO NOT like, but many more which I LOVE.
The after weight loss plan is another part of the plan that I havent experienced, yet, however there are many long time members who still participate in the online discussions (via a message board) and are honest about their ups and downs. The fact that MediFast supports you AFTER youve lost weight is extremely impressive to me. Ive read all of the documentation and it seems very sound and very educational for how to live the rest of your life.
If you're looking for something that WILL WORK and you are ready to commit to a plan (that won't break the bank like Jenny Craig), go for MediFast. Commit to the plan for 4 weeks, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
I've been extremely happy with the MediFast plan. You can check out my progress (and my success tips) at http://taranraven.livejournal.com.
