| museamuse's Full Review: MediFast Plus Weight Loss Program |
I have just finished my second week on medifast and weighed in this morning. I started at 190, after one week on the 5+1 plan was at 187.7, and after a week on the 'complete' plan have dropped to 184.9. That is just 5 pounds in two weeks. Sigh...
I'm not sure how much of this is my wicked-conservative metabolism. Last year I was on nutri-system for 2 months, followed it strictly, and lost only 10 pounds. Just for the record I walk twice a day - the evening walk is brisk and usually lasts 45 minutes to an hour. I also do water aerobics 2-3 times per week.
Medifast shakes are OK. I've taken to drinking a lot of green tea to help me feel full. Overall, I feel good, though somewhat hungry. I'm really craving meat, which is highly unusual for me, so I may go back to the 5+1 plan this week.
I guess I find it strange that I am eating 600-800 calories per day, exercising, and not dropping very rapidly. Still, the program is working, though slowly, and is fairly easy to follow. I also feel that preparing a healthy lean/green meal once a day is good practice for going back on real food at some point. I'll stick with it for at least another two weeks and see how it goes.
