Food Unpalatable

Pros: Convenient, no counting calories, quick, polite service.
Cons: Food tastes horrible, and I will eat pretty much anything!
The Bottom Line: If you can choke down the food, this diet would be great. I hear Jenny has better tasting stuff even though it is more expensive. Try MediFast!

My wife and I decided to get on the Nutrisystem plan just after our 2nd child was born. We have an older toddler as well so needless to say we had (and have) our hands full!
It seemed perfect for our needs as wifey wanted to shed some baby weight and I had put on the 10 pounds of marriage weight that seems to affect most men after settling down. Pre made food would help us save time and cut calories while not being alot more than were already spending on eating.
I contacted a sales person and ordered a 4 week plan which came with an extra week thrown in, nice!
We stayed on the diet for less than a week because the food was hardly edible. We were shocked to find that although the food was ready to go, not requiring any water, just heating, it didn't have to be refrigerated. What on earth do they have to do to it so it lasts days outside the fridge? I shudder to think.
Within a week we decided we couldn't take anymore, the food had bad flavor and worse texture due to the added fiber which is how you get away from eating so few calories, they intentionally add bulk in the form of fiber so you feel full. You also spend alot of time in the bathroom.
There is also TONS of sodium, which must be how the food lasts without refrigeration.
On a positive note, the person who processed my return was very polite (maybe she does this alot?) and I was fully refunded for the cost of unused food.
Now we are on MediFast and loving it!
