Pros: affordable (compared to Jenny), easy, convenient, portable
Cons: Food is just ok, requires purchasing other foods, don't always receive what you ordered
The Bottom Line: All diets require work, but this one seems to work for me - maybe it will work for you?

| jumpn4's Full Review: NutriSystem Weight Loss Program |
I've had more success with this diet than any other. Like all diets, you have to follow it, but if you do, it works. I lost 17 pounds the first 2 months following the diet religiously. When I don't, I can still maintain my weight by following the diet at least 50% of the time (especially with exercise and a lot of water). Some of the food is pretty good, some is just ok, and some of it ends up in the garbage. Even though the cost is around $10 per day for 3 meals plus a dessert, you do have to supplement with fresh foods (vegetables, salads, fruits, dairy...), but it's still pretty affordable and forces me to eat healthier. The food is not frozen or refrigerated, so it is portable. I did have some issues with how my body reacted to the food at first. When I called Nutrisystem they did not acknowledge this as a common problem and suggested it might just be from a change in eating habits, but every time I stop eating the food for any length of time and start again, I have the same issues.
As many have suggested, if you like to cook, you may not like this diet. Weight Watchers might be a better choice. But for people who don't really cook, don't like shopping for food and don't want to deal with measuring out portions, this diet makes it pretty easy. They use the same general concept of weight control through more frequent meals, smaller portions and eating the right balance of carbs for fuel, not fat. Exercise and lots of water are part of this diet just like all the others.
There are no meetings and no fees, just the cost of the food. Shipping is free, but they encourage you to buy 4 weeks of food at a time by giving you a discount (that keeps the cost at $10/day). The 4 week shipment must contain 28 dinners, 28 lunches, 28 breakfasts & 28 desserts (you choose the foods), but you can't substitute extra breakfasts for say dinners if you ended up with too many dinners left because you ate out a few times, so you end up having to order a la carte to make up the differences. I also found that I often did not receive the foods I ordered, but if I called, they would ship me whatever I was missing and I was not required to ship back what I didn't want or pay any extra.
Unlike others on this board, I never had any trouble with their customer service. I found them pretty helpful.
