| sassifrazz's Full Review: Sugar Busters! |
After having two children, I had put on a considerable amount of weight. I tried every diet and cut every corner possible, but remained the same.
I found the "Sugar Busters" diet on the Net, and decided to give it a shot. I had recently tried "Atkins," but was disappointed with the limited amount of food to choose from.
Sugar Busters not only offered a bigger variety, but did not seem to deprive me of anything but sugar. After a couple of weeks, you get used to no sweets, and I noticed a drop in my weight. At this point I must caution you that no diet works alone; you must exercise, as well.
The diet is healthy because you are only giving up sugar, as opposed to all carbs on the Atkins. It also instructs you to only eat dark grains, as opposed to light flour products. The books states, "the whiter the bread, the quicker you're dead." The only problem I had was finding true whole wheat bread.
I notice dramatic results within four months. I went from a size 12 to a size 5. I lost 30 pounds altogether, and I have kept it off for more than a year, although I do not strictly follow the diet anymore. I do, however, avoid overloading my body with sugar and do not drink sweetened soft drinks, except occasionally.
I would recommend this diet to anyone, but again, I do caution people that they must develop an exercise routine to go with it. Lifting weights is a great start because you can do it at home, and the more muscle you build, the less likely you are to retain fat. You don't have to lift devoutly, and you will still see results.
