He said that an air cleaner would help him to breath a little better, by cleaning up the quality of the air in our home.

I went out and purchased this Honeywell QuietCare Hepa Air Cleaner. This air cleaner is portable with a convenient carrying handle, so it can be used in any room. It comes with a Hepa filter, which is one of the most efficient ways to remove airborne particles.

To make sure that the air cleaner is being used more effectivley, you must keep all the doors and windows closed while it is operating. It can be placed on the floor or any any table. But it will perform best if the air outlet slot is not blocked for at least 3 feet in all directions. It's also a good idea to keep the surrounding area clean. I now vacuum my rug every 2 days now instead of once or twice a week.

The Air cleaner comes with 3 speed controls, and indicator power lights. High, medium and low speed. I usually have it on low speed which works well for us. If the grand children are over, I put it on medium speed, because with the activity of the children, I do get a build up of dust from my carpet. No matter what speed you have it on, you will be surprised how quiet it runs. In fact my ceiling fans make more noise then this air cleaner does.

This cleaner comes with 3 filters, one activated carbon pre-filter, a primary Hepa filter, and one a CPZ odor and gas absorbing filter. The activated carbon pre-filter captures lint and other large particles, will reduce common household odors and helps protect the Hepa filter. It may have to be replaced every 3 months depending on your usage. The Hepa filter should last for 1 to 3 years depending again on your usage. The CPZ filter cartridge should be replaced at least every 6 months The filter life depends upon condition of usage also. Most of the time I keep the air cleaner on low speed for about 12 hours a day and I turn it off at night. I'm hoping I won't have to change the filters as often.

It comes with an Intelli-Check Filter Monitor, which counts the hours of filter use based on the operating speed, and will indicate when the filters expected life has been reached. Once the filter has reached it's expected life, the light will stay on, which then means it's time to replace the filter.

After I had the Air cleaner for a few days. I really didn't notice the difference in the air, until a few days later after I went out shopping and I returned home. I then could see the difference. No stale odors and the air smelled real fresh and clean. My husband also noted that he could breath a little better too.

This Honeywell Air Cleaner is 99.97% effective in removing pollen, household dust, odors, Tobacco smoke, cat dander and mold spores. This was a very good health investment for my husband and myself by purchasing this Honeywell Air Cleaner. It's keeping my home cleaner and making my husband more comfortable.
