Totally enjoying it. (Reply to this comment)

I can’t believe how effective this product is. I have been looking at if for quite awhile and read a lot of reviews to see the pros and cons and now I have finally bought it. I have to admit it is quite expensive but is WORTH it. I tried it on my underarms first and it did an incredible job. It took away every single strand that was visible to the eye. First of all, it is NOT painful as many have commented. It just had a tingling effect for me (but of course, everyone is not the same, some are more sensitive than others). I thought it hurts much less than a wax job and did a better job too. I have problem with dark underarms, and I noticed that after I used Emjoi it made my underarms totally clearer and the darkness went away because it took away each strand and left no dark stubbles.

I would recommend this to anyone who waxes or shaves..as this is much better! Worth every penny!

that I have so little leg hair I barely ever shave but I do have bikini waxings and I once tried it with a store bought product. I don't care what the company says, unless there is novacaine LOL in it, it is going to hurt. And doing it to yourself you can't pull in the right way. OUCH I am hurting thinking of it. Thanks for the review. I am tempted to buy this stuff because waxing is so expensive, but you have reinforced why I don't! jo

Same thing I was going to say! Sounds like the evil that was Epilady. Men must have designed these devices of torture.

Nice review BTW

PAIN (Reply to this comment)

Ok, I'm not a wimp; waxing doesn't faze me, whether it is legs or underarms or the dreaded bikini line. While getting my tattoo, I wondered why I had put it off so long for fear of the pain, piece of cake, I would do it again (if I could ever figure out what I wanted and where...), but this review made me cringe..... ugh, the thought of pulling out hairs a few at a time **shudder** LOL At least with waxing, one yank and you've got a big patch gone!

Great review :) (Any review that can elicit emotions like that has got to be good!)

What can I say? A big, hairy mole could only be viewed as a sexerific bonus. The unnatural growth icing on the hirsute cake, so to speak.

Yeah, I guess we're all suckers for that sort of thing because we want pain free beauty so bad. Thanks for the comment.

I'll start working on my nose hair right away! How do you feel about a big hairy mole?

I understand what you are saying, and since I can stand to have my chin electrocuted you would think I could stand to have vast amounts of body hair ripped out of my flesh, but I think I'm going to pass. Thanks for the feedback, though.

I remember hearing the same thing from friends when the Epilady came out. I was sad, because it sounded so good in the ads. But if you think about it, it's not that surprising that if you try to use a machine to rip hairs out at the root, it will probably hurt! Too bad we all seemed to miss that point while listening to how great the ads made it sound... :)

great review!

I think braided nose hairs are sexy.

Funny, as I read your review (which was good), I related to what you said because I had exactly the same experience...the first day. I managed to pull the hairs out of a 3 x 4 inch section of my leg and nearly passed out from the pain of it all.

But...I couldn't give up. I went back the next day and tried again. I got the bottom half of one leg done! Success!

It took a total of four days to finish my legs...but I did it and I was in love with the results.

Now, I'm addicted to epilation. I do my legs, my arms, my hands, my chin, etc. I see a renegade hair, I wanna pluck it! I love the smooth results and it really does get better with time.

Epilation = Ouch! (Reply to this comment)
by girlboxer5
Had the same problem back in 1992, when I purchased the Epilady. Welts for days-- every time anything touched my legs after using it, I hurt. And, I couldn't wear skirts for almost a week :-P

Ooog!

Great review-- with many painful memories...

Rock on,
Elizabeth
