I recently purchased a Remington R845 for use away from home where I have been using Norelcos for the past 35+ years. Because of the price difference I choose the Remington thinking there couldn't be much difference between the two. Although the Remington R845 does shave better than the non rotary models there is a major drawback. When trying to shave a two day growth the cutter blades tend to jam and disengage from the drive posts,this requires stopping the razor to allow the blades to engage again. Once in a while wouldn't be bad but this seems to happen too many times during a shave and never happens with the Norelco.
