DIY: Replacing the Battery in the Polar S210 (Reply to this comment)
by magataganm
Replacing the Battery in the Polar S210 (as opposed to sending the unit back to Polar) is rather easy with good eyesight and patience. This will void your warranty but may be well worth it.
I have provided a link to the disassembled (and labeled) S210 PDF file and photo.
Simply remove the 4 back-plate screws with a jewelers screw driver and remove the electronic assembly in one piece as shown in the photograph. Do not attempt to disassemble to electronic assembly.
Simply pry up the the Speaker Interlocking tab (careful not to dislodge or loose the two small speaker springs) and remove.
Remove the CR2430 Battery and replace with the same type making sure that the Positive side is towards the top.
Reverse the disassembly instructions to put the unit back together and follow the S210 guide to reset the watch.
