Pros: Convenient individual serving packets, good size for kittens.
Cons: More expensive to buy individually vs. canned cat food.
Our latest edition to the pet family is a black and gold kitten named Breezy. Breezy was named after the black and gold coloring, which reminded me of the New Orleans Saints and a take on their quarterback's name. Breezy has been enjoying different varieties and brands of cat food and decided that Whiskas Tender Bites With Beef in Juices is a pretty darn good cat food.
Whiskas Tender Bites With Beef in Juices
This cat food is sold in individual packets and also in a suitcase box style that contains 24 packets of food. I bought individual packets to see which flavors and varieties Breezy likes best.
Each packet contains 3 ounces of cat food. The small bites of beef are a good size for kittens or adult cats. Breezy had no trouble chewing this little morsels up. Individual packets retail for around $69 a pouch.
Whiskas claims this food is slow cooked in natural juices. The food is very juicy and a fair amount of juices or gravy is present. My kitten seems to enjoy this part of the meal and always cleans the plate.
Whiskas Tender Bites With Beef in Juices was the perfect size for my kitten's meal. The packets are easy to tear in to and makes serving a kitty meal pretty simple. You don't need to get out a spoon or knife to get all the food out, like you do with canned cat food. This food is easily squeezed out of the foil packet. It makes for a mees-free kitty dining experience!
Nutritionally, this food is average in my book. It does contain real meat protein, but it also has meat by-products thrown into the mix.

My Likes and Dislikes
I love the convenience of tearing open a pouch and squeezing it into my kittens bowl. I don't have to stop and mess with a pull tab on a can or to get a spoon to dish out a serving. Most canned cat food comes in 5 ounce cans which is a bit much for a kitten to consume in one meal. The 3 ounce packets of Whiskas are just right.
The only disadvantages I see in this food are the meat by-products which are thrown into the mix and that the cost per serving is more than canned cat food. I can deal with that as long as my kitten is getting good nutrition and likes the food. However, with by-products in this food, I don't see where this could be an excellent cat food. It meets the standards of the pet food industry and that is about the bottom line.
The Cat's Meow
As I stated earlier, Breezy loves Whiskas Tender Bites With Beef in Juices. Our other cat, Baby Tiger also loves it. Both of them enjoy this cat food alone, and Baby Tiger also enjoys it served on top of some dry cat food. Either way, it is a winner in their opinion.
Yes, as an average cat food only. Breezy loves it. This food contains tender bites in a tasty gravy.
