As I’ve been exploring the world of Keurig K-Cups for my brewer, I’ve come across some brands that are better than others.  I was a bit skeptical at first of brands that use certain names to market their product, but I have to say I have been delightfully surprised by the Wolfgang Puck line of K-Cups.  In particular, the flavored K-Cups are pretty darn good.

A recent purchase was of Wolfgang Puck Crème Caramel K-Cup Coffee.  It’s a blend of caramel and vanilla flavors with a light roast coffee that produces a nice flavored beverage.

The aroma that wafts through my house as this is brewing and after is dominated by caramel, although there is definitely coffee there too as well as a hint of vanilla.  It’s a very pleasing scent, but still not the same as when I used to brew a whole pot and it would permeate my entire house.  The cup sitting in front of me does smell enticing, though.

When I drink my coffee, it’s usually with one Splenda and then some farm-fresh half-and-half.  Wolfgang Puck Crème Caramel K-Cup Coffee is a flavor I can almost drink without adding anything to it.  The flavor adds enough sweetness to the coffee that I could do without any sweetener.  The half-and-half adds a nice creaminess to it.  The flavor of the coffee is definitely sweet and does a nice job blending the caramel and coffee flavor.  When brewed at the 8-ounce size on my brewer the coffee flavor is strong as well.  It’s a very smooth flavored coffee that goes down easy.  I notice a bit of an after-taste, but it doesn’t have that artificial feel to it that some flavored coffees have.  When I push it to 10-ounce, it’s not as bad as some flavored coffees that seem to totally lose flavor, but it’s not quite as good as when brewed at the 8-ounce size.

I do like a strong cup of coffee and it’s been hard finding flavored K-Cups that cut it for me.  Wolfgang Puck Crème Caramel K-Cup Coffee does do a pretty decent job at this.

I haven’t had a flavor of Wolfgang Puck Coffee that’s disappointed me yet, and Wolfgang Puck Crème Caramel K-Cup Coffee is no exception.  It’s got a nice flavor to it that balances the added caramel flavor with the natural coffee flavor quite nicely.  It’s definitely a flavored coffee I will purchase again.
