Pros:Worked for cleaning my engine.
Cons:Used after there was too much sludge buildup. Recommend for newer vehicles to prevent sludge.
The Bottom Line: Great for new cars, just be weary of older vehicles as it may create unforeseen problems.

I bought the Zmax micro lubricant for my newly purchased 2003 VW Jetta 1.8T with 103000 miles on the odometer. I noticed after purchasing the vehicle that the engine was running a little rough at idle. So, I decided to give Zmax a try and added the fuel and oil treatments. After having fun in my new car and accelerating up to speed quickly, I noticed that the low oil pressure light was on and beeping. I wish I had a pressure gauge instead of an idiot light! I did research and found that the low pressure can be caused by loose sludge circulating through the oil system. Took it to the VW dealer with my suspicions. Turns out the sludge was clogging the oil pickup tube screen. The Zmax knocked loose years of sludge buildup. The only problem was that I had to pay a mechanic to flush my oil system. Once the sludge is gone, I will add more Zmax to keep it from returning! Oh and before the oil pressure light, the engine idle was a lot smoother! I can't say on how it did on fuel milage because that is not what I purchased it for.
