Pros: Cruise Personalizer: the best in the business. Cons: Website could be more user friendly.
I recently booked our annual cruise vacation directly through Princess, a two week, back to back Alaska cruise departing Vancouver to Seward and back in June 2002. I used the website to book the first leg of our journey, and then a month later, I...
Pros: Excellent accommodations, service and food. Cons: Internet service, rented formal wear.
We just got back from a Mediterranean cruise on the Emerald Princess. This was the second cruise for the new vessel reported to be the second largest cruise vessel. The newness speaks for itself - it was luxurious and awesome. The layout was the familiar ...
Pros: Service, food and everything on the ship Cons: Distance from Australia, no others
We have recently returned from a Princess cruise package deal from Australia to Alaska. It included a two day stay at San Francisco and airfares from Melbourne. The price was very reasonable at $3400A. All elements of the trip were very well organised ...
Pros: Alaska is definitely worth visiting if you are at all interested in the natural world. Cons: Princess Land Tour is very restrictive. Not recommended.
We took a two week package with Princess, the first week was the cruise and second week was the land tour. We really enjoyed the cruise and the experience was wonderful. There were a lot of opportunities to do your own thing at each port and ...
Alaska Princess Land and Cruise Tour by kfrantzen ,Aug 31 '09
Pros: Beautiful scenery, wildlife, and pure decadence on the ship. Cons: You have to put your luggage out early, e.g. 6 am, on the land tour.
Just returned from a Princess tour: Land tour from Fairbanks to Whittier followed by the cruise to Vancouver. This tour was great! Princess does an excellent job in coordinating your luggage and transfers. We used the Alaskan train in three segments: 2 nights in Fairbanks, 2 nights in Denali, and 1 night at Mt McKinley. The second segment is the best! The cruise then starts off with two days at sea: college fiord and glacier bay. You recover from the land tour on these days and see beautiful scenery. Then on to Scagway, Juneau, and Ketchican followed by another day at sea.
Alaska land tours by Princess cruise lines by shellib11754 ,Jul 14 '06
Pros: None Cons: Exhausting, insulting and poorly communicated
DON'T DO IT! We are currently nearing the end of an escorted land tour by Princess before boarding The Island Princess. We are completely exhausted from changing hotels and sitting in assorted trains and buses for up to 9 hours every second day. Nowhere in the glossy literature does this excursion company communicate the uncomfortable length of these trips. Once you get to the next lodge you have the opportunity to purchase more expensive excursion packages to further enrich princess's coffers. We are so worn out, that we are no longer excited by the cruise.
