Pros: Rode a bus 350 miles to miss the presidential inauguration. Cons: WorldStrides didn't include inauguration tickets when that was the purpose of the $700+ trip!
Summary: My daughter went on the WorldStrides tour to Washington DC to see the 2005 presidential inauguration. The trip was offered through the high school. They got to Washington, DC fine, but when they tried to go to the inauguration (the entire reason for ...

Pros: Well planned trip, fun activities, safe Cons: Need more info regarding baggage fees.
Summary: My daughter went on the 1-week tour of Costa Rica from June-July 2011. She said that all of the hotels, except for one, were excellent. She raved about the 2 tour guides. Apparently, the tour guides are in their mid-20's ...

Pros: none Cons: terrible customer service; EZ-Pay is a scam!
Summary: I just fell for the same scam. Wish I read the reviews on WorldStrides sooner. I also made a payment (early) online, and I was told I made a data entry error. Got served the un-refundable $35 fee PLUS a $6 HANDLING FEE. I was ...

Pros: We get rheemed into an expensive trip that their teacher gets duped into promoting! Cons: Trip coordinators are benefitting from free trips and other perks at our expense!
Summary: After reading all the reviews, what stands out as scary is the difference between the experience of the account holding students and teachers/trip coordinators. On the one hand, the trip coordinators are singing praises about WORLDSTRIDES. ...

Pros: Professional, safe and educational Cons: nothing, zilch, nada!
Summary: I've been on several trips with WorldStrides so I can say without a doubt it is worth the investment. My son took a trip to DC in 8th grade and was absolutely AMAZED with his trip. This trip made him so excited that he is planning on working in ...

Pros: Always get my $$$ worth. Cons: Can be a bit pricey. But you get what you pay for!
Summary: For the past 16 years I've coordinated and brought a minimum of 50 8th. graders to D.C, NYC, Boston and Williamsburg. Not once in all those trips did I ever have an issue with WS. The worst thing I had was a motor coach that had saggy seats and the VCR ...

Pros: absolutely none Cons: everything was horrible
Summary: I went along on the Worldstrides trip to Washington D.C. with my daughter's seventh grade group. The flights were terrible - layovers and gate changes that meant we spent a whole day flying. The hotels were run down and unsafe. One of them was under ...

Pros: several educational benefits, spending time with peers, learning about another part of our country Cons: Improperly supervised
Place in an unappropriate and dangerous situation
Summary: My 13 y/o daughter went on a trip with Worldstrides, and 35 other children from her school.
We learned from a phone call on the last day she was there that my daughter and her 2 roommates, were in an adjoining room with 3 boys.
Subsequently,...

Pros: Haven't experienced any Cons: Unsupervised overnight layover! And Zero communication, about problems and changes in flights home!
Summary: Poor communication between tour guides and students. Students don't know where they're going next or what they should be doing when they get there. Zero communication between WorldStrides and parents which they claim is entirely teacher's responsibility.

Pros: They made it home safely. Cons: The people on the phone have no authority.
Summary: The customer service at World Strides is legendary in it's horrific execution. From the outset, this organization has been nothing but difficult. The problem is that the school selects the organization so World Strides has no impetus to help the parents.

Pros: WOULD BE FUN IT IT WAS TRUE Cons: THEY LIE THUR THEIR TEETH TO GET YOU TO SING UP!!

Pros: easy city access, well planned, experienced guide Cons: Students scattered on different floors, slightly expensive
