1968 to 1971 Vespa Rally 180

Pros: Very reliable and well built with soild leg shields and wheels and covers.
Cons: Heavy to push when you run out of petrol.

This was my first scooter, I bought from this old geezer in Brighton in 1981 for £150 cash. Had it for two years, a good reliable scooter. Never went wrong except for the odd cable!
I travelled all over the south-east with it on Mod runs and used it to travel to work every-day.
The frame it self is built like a tank, very solid and strong and engine had real guts to it, on an I of W run I towed a broken down lambretta 10 miles at an easy 50mph.

The only prang I ever had with it was when a mod girl started it up without my consent, let the clutch out and did a wheeler into me, my leg came of worse!
