Pros: Great bike for real riders, buy a Softail if you want to look cool Cons: have not found it yet
I've been riding on the road for 31 years and am pretty set in my ways. I have had (3)Triumph's, (2) Norton's and (3) Harley's..and a spattering of vintage dirt bikes. It took a long time for me to sort out which model for me to purchase this time...

Pros: if you like it, it works Cons: nothing really
According to others:
The Road Glide is built around a frame-mounted fairing and low windshield. Leading the way are distinctive dual oval head lamps with auto motive-style reflector optics. The rest of the styling is kept clean and...

Pros: Comfortable, dealers everywhere, fuel economy, options galore Cons: Expensive
This is my second HD, the first being a Fat Boy—an entirely different beast. I’ve been riding bikes for over 30 years and the Road Glide is the first touring bike ever to grace my garage.
Not sure about the frame mounted fairing? A frame...

Road Glide FLTRI
by caemi ,Mar 19 '04
Pros: Smooth, very supple ride, handles very well for a big bike. A+ weather protection. Cons: Heavy. Expensive. Oil filter location causes some mess when changing (like all big twins).
I've got a Road Glide with EFI and I've got to agree with the other guys that said you can ride any elevation or weather without a hitch. The system works perfectly. I like to ride early and late in the season and the fairing makes a difference. I'm looking to add fairing lowers this year as well. Also, the bike handles much better than an EG. The frame mounted fairing does not twitch when a truck goes by and the steering is light in parking lots. On an 800 pound bike, it is a difference you can feel. No bike is perfect including this one, but it is the best I've ever owned and I've been riding 35 years. I will mention it is not particularly fast but neither am I anymore. My wife and I hop on and can ride all day. That is just the ticket, IMHO.

Lady Rider
by itsy ,Oct 31 '04
Pros: Great for long trips. Cons: Not as easy in parking lots as small bikes.
I have had 3 HD Bikes and this is by far the best. Told it was to big and heavy, kinda. She is fast, smooth, very comfortable, trouble free and I have very little trouble handling her. The center of gravity is higher then the Ultra but not difficult to adjust to.
Ride her and you will fall in love, I did.

Build Your own Screamin' Eagle Road Glide!
by roadglide2005 ,Dec 31 '05
Pros: I can ride all day at 100+ mph! Cons: It's still an 800 lb. bike, but now it's a faster one!
I liked my '05 Road Glide with the stock 88 inch motor and seat. I replaced both. I have a custom touring saddle with a gel filling that makes long rides enjoyable. I added pull-back beach bars also. The front forks and rear shocks were also replaced. I added a 6-speed baker tranny, and replaced the motor with a 124" S&S. It makes 150 pounds of torque and 160 ponies at the rear wheel! Now I have a fast, comfortable ride with a great fairing and better ride and handling.
