I bought this bike after careful review of nearly all the large (1500cc) bikes. I tested the bikes in demo rides during Daytona's Bike Week and Biketoberfest, and I rented several Harley-Davidsons for long weekends (I put 700 to 1000 miles on the HDs)....
Pros: Smooth, powerful, comfortable, great handling, quiet, and braking. Cons: Mileage, engine heat, and lack of quick disconnect accessories.
I never really considered any cruiser other than one of the big V-twins, until I drove the Valkyrie. I've driven nearly all the large bikes, and I was most interested in the Vulcan Nomad. Once I took the Valkyrie out for a spin I took it home the next...
Pros: Large amount of cargo space Cons: not a sport bike
The Valkyrie is not a bike for the first time rider. It is a big 1500cc engine that weighs enough to make many people feel uncomfortable riding it. We have had the Valkyrie for about two years now and have had no problems with it at all. If you want a...
I bought this motorcycle because it is in a class of its own. Unlike every other cruiser out there, this machine makes no attempt to look like the classic (Harley) V twin. Instead, the huge, well chromed, flat six provides incredible power, silky...
Pros: Power, Handling, Braking! Cons: Not for beginners, and drinks more gas than alot of cars
Sweet, sweet, and more sweet. There's nothing out there in cruiserdom that can do what the Valkyrie does (period). There are four Cruisers in my opinion worth having. The Honda Magna, The Yamaha V-Max, The Honda Valkyrie, and 'perhaps' the Harley ...
Pros: Comfort, power, reliability, beauty, grace in a refined massive road bike. Hope for one Cons: Not for beginners, this is a BIG bike. One ride though, and you are hooked....
How to upgrade from a V-Max - The Valkyrie is Honda's answer. What an awesome bike. My wife asked for a bigger back seat, we have been riding the VMax for the past 6 years, and she likes the power almost as much as I do. The V-Max will stand up when ...
Pros: Huge, powerful, beautiful, a joy to drive. Cons: Fuel capacity, no fuel gauge, I don't get to ride it enough.
I recently purchased a used 98 Tourer model from another guy locally. It is black and in near showroom condition. I absolutely love it. But some of that goes back a few years. I was riding back years ago when the Valk first came out. My first view of it ...
This was the first motorcycle since the Harley Electra-Glide Sport that really tickled my motolust. When Honda introduced the Valkyrie, I got a picture and put it on my wall. It took me awhile to get the money together before I got to buy one. I took it...
Pros: powerful, smart styling, great handling Cons: limited driver legroom
This motorcycle is the answer to the above list prices salesmanship of Harley. I have owned many Motorcycles over the years from Cruisers, sport bikes and Sport tours, this bike is the answer. With it's exterior sexiness and classic musle car styling to...
According to others:
The brand new 125 Shadow simply does not look like a 125, principally because of the fantastic looking 90° liquid-cooled v-twin at its heart. Allied to its slick 5-speed gearbox, the Shadow will cruise with the biggest of...
I had a 1999 Honda Shadow ACE 750 that I really liked, but I wanted something that handled the highway with more ease. I almost didn't ride the Valkyrie because it looked so big, but a couple of miles into my test ride, I knew I was done looking. The...
Pros: SHE'S GOT IT ALL! THAT'S MY BABY! Cons: TOO PERFECT!
Never before has there been a motorcycle in production containing so many positive qualities, and virtually no negatives. The build quality is fantastic. Torque and power are tremendous. Very comfortable, sounds great, awesome size and look (wherever I ride people are just slobbering all over this fat girl, unless they're harley people too cool to let ya know how smitten they really are), handles unbelievably for a bike of this size and weight (scraping pegs at 60 or 70 mph, this thing doesn't flinch, like it's on rails begging for more), I love this bike, can ya tell? I'll never get rid of her. we'll make luv until I can't anymore, then my son will have to take over. If you wanna cry about gas mileage, get something else. This ain't a bike you buy for gas mileage. Cheesy plastic fuel valve? stock Dunlops too whiny for ya? Go for the Metz 880 - much better. Anything else? Tranny whine? That's the lady tellin' ya how much she loves ya. This bike is the slap jack jimmie, PERIOD. Do a couple thousand miles on her and tell me she ain't!
if you are serious about your bike, don't fart around, get a Valkyrie by sgtc31 ,Mar 06 '05
Pros: ohmigod, there is nothing better Cons: no gas gauge, no reverse, no fuel injection
read all about the Valk. Read the reviews and the testaments and then.... - ..... GET ONE!!!! It is all true. Comfort, torque, power, looks, reliability, feces- eating grin fun. The Valk has it all ! Every time I ride I find myself grinning. And I mean EVERY time. I have been riding 42 years and this is the BEST bike I've ever had. If I had the $$$, I'd buy all the Valks I could and hoard them (what was Honda thinking to stop their production ? But, since this motor will go 300K miles, I guess I would waste my dollars.). If you are thinking of a cruiser and are debating which to get, - the debate is over!!! It will be the best thing you have ever done for yourself (despite your current girlfriend).
